Building technology people choose, with a love for psychology, brands and learning

Previously at Oracle and Acacia Advisors

I’m a student at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (MIS) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Marketing and Educational Psychology.

Those aren’t four separate interests. Psychology and consumer behavior explain why people choose what they choose. Marketing and product strategy decide what’s worth offering them. Technology is how it gets built. And education asks the same question about learning: why some things stick. That thread runs through everything here, from discovery calls at Oracle to a children’s book about women engineers.

So far, it has taken me to Oracle, where I led discovery calls with $20M–$200M companies and matched their needs to NetSuite, and to Acacia Advisors, where I rewrote the messaging for their AI and cloud services and grew website traffic by 20%.

Off the clock, I’m still studying what people love: rom-coms, new restaurants, the perfect vanilla latte. I balance it with Pilates and yoga and always have a creative project underway. Most of them end up here.

$20M–$200Mthe size of the companies I prospected

  • Learned consultative selling and ERP by working directly with live accounts, seeing how finance, operations, and technology decisions connect inside a business.
  • Researched and prioritized organizations from $20M–$200M in revenue, then turned that research into outreach and conversations that contributed to the NetSuite pipeline.
  • Led discovery conversations to understand how prospects actually operated before determining where NetSuite could solve a problem.
  • Learned that good B2B selling is less about pitching a product and more about asking the right questions, understanding what matters to the person across the table, and translating technology into a reason to act.

20%more website traffic from messaging I redesigned

  • Developed the go-to-market strategy for a $1M Microsoft Azure AI manufacturing product, using pricing and competitor analysis to decide how to position it.
  • Rewrote the messaging for Acacia’s AI and cloud services around what clients needed to hear, which grew website traffic by 20% and LinkedIn visits by 27%.
  • Supported client engagements, including Barry Manufacturing, with market research and competitive analysis that helped shape recommendations.
  • Learned to turn technical products into plain-language value: clients don’t buy “AI,” they buy outcomes they can measure. I brought the same instinct to discovery calls at Oracle.

    The Why

I didn’t choose technology instead of the arts.
I chose it so my art could do more.

Reading, writing, music and art have been constants for as long as I can remember. Eventually, making something beautiful stopped being enough. The more interesting question was why people chose it, remembered it, returned to it, or couldn’t put it down.

And technology was already hiding inside everything I loved. The tools I draw with. The apps that put stories in my hands. The playlist that finds a song before I know I want it. None of those things are purely technical. Someone had to understand people well enough to imagine them, and technology well enough to make them real.

That’s what Management Information Systems is to me.

I didn’t leave the humanities behind. I gave them a backend.

It’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing.

        How Glossier Lost Its Cult

Glossier was built by its comments section, then handed its fans to Sephora and TikTok. My plan to win them back.

        • Started from the HBS case I studied in MIS 375 and followed the story from 2018 to 2026
        • Found the turn the case predicts: the tech team that built Glossier’s platform was cut, then discovery moved to Sephora
        • Three moves: a members’ club, creators paid per sale, and fragrance as a world
        • Tied them into one campaign, Back in the chat: a text to every past fan, a creator-run vote, and a perfume your friends name
        • Invented community-sourced revenue, the share of sales that start in Glossier’s own channels

I spent 10th grade teaching myself more computer science and writing a curriculum from my school district’s, College Board and Girls Who Code material. Then in 11th and 12th grade I ran Girls Who Code chapters at two middle schools, to reach girls earlier and give them a community.

Author & Illustrator, published Oct ’23

Every bedtime story I read my little sister was about princesses, fairies and dolls. Never real women. So at 17, I wrote and illustrated the book I wished she had: seven women engineers from different backgrounds, from aerospace to biomedical to computer engineering, and the first one is named after her.

        National Inventors Hall of Fame

Guided elementary students through the engineering design process, from brainstorming and sketching to prototyping, testing, and redesigning. We built boats to explore buoyancy, experimented with paper airplanes and gliders to understand flight, designed solutions for cleaning contaminated water, and constructed mini skate parks to test motion and momentum. Each challenge turned a STEM concept into something students could build, test, and improve.

What if I painted where I’m from?

        Digital Art

I grew up between cultures. Eventually, I started drawing the space between them. My AP 2-D Art portfolio became an attempt to make cultural identity visible: the traditions I inherited, the places I’ve lived, and the strange experience of belonging to more than one world at once. Not to brag, but it earned a 5, a VASE award and a Scholastic Art Award. …totally bragging.

What if I followed the recipe, then didn’t?

        Baking

Recipes are suggestions. Ratios are not. Baking is basically coding with better snacks. Break the flour-to-butter ratio and nothing works. Get the architecture right, though, and suddenly you can mess with the flavor, color, decoration, and everything that makes it yours.
